Rewilding the Mukwonago River

Rewilding Reminder ! Remember our Member meeting!

Rewilding (conservation biology) in our watershed. Relevant idea?

Wikipedia definition paraphrased for our purposes, “Rewilding is conservation aimed at restoring and protecting natural processes and wilderness areas, providing connectivity between such areas. Rewilding projects may require ecological restoration or wilderness engineering, particularly to restore connectivity between fragmented protected areas. Rewilding was developed as a method to preserve functional ecosystems and reduce biodiversity loss. ”

By that definition, rewilding is very relevant to our mission to protect the Mukwonago River and its associated watershed ecosystems.

Come to our annual member meeting and hear our featured speaker, board member David Swanson, giving a TED type talk on our Mukwonago River about this topic.
