Guest speaker, Jerry Ziegler, Land Steward at the Nature Conservancy will speak about TNC properties and acquisitions in the Mukwonago River watershed.
Jerry, TNC’s land steward for Southeast Wisconsin for 10 years manages 2500 acres of fee and easement properties in the Mukwonago River watershed, and is a member of its prescribed fire crew. He volunteered with TNC for 25 years before that throughout the state.
He is a on the board of directors of Wisconsin Lakes and is the past president of the Southeastern Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium.
Before joining TNC full time, Ziegler was assistant copy desk chief for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and before that, assistant news editor for the Milwaukee Journal. He worked at newspapers in Wisconsin and Michigan for several decades.
