Friends of the Mukwonago River has always been a member-driven organization, relying on the passion and dedication of volunteers to protect and care for the watershed. Our members and volunteers act as guardians of the river, lakes, tributaries, and surrounding lands, helping to clean up, enhance, and safeguard these precious natural resources.
We encourage you to sign up for WCLC’s volunteer newsletter to stay up to date on getting involved. Learn more and explore upcoming opportunities on their volunteer page.
Through the Waukesha County Land Conservancy (WCLC), our volunteer efforts now have an even greater reach – expanding protection and restoration across the entire Mukwonago River watershed. Volunteers work alongside staff to remove invasive species, monitor wildlife habitats, count birds, and maintain healthy ecosystems. Every hour of volunteer work directly contributes to sustaining the watershed for current and future generations.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of this conservation effort, and there are countless ways to get involved. Whatever your skills or interests, WCLC welcomes your help. Contact them today to join hands in protecting this remarkable watershed.
